Sensor can be put on the finger or earlobe, through the interconnected line can be connected to the Arduino.It also has an open source app, can real-time your heart rate graph display. Essence is an integrated optical amplifying circuit and noise eliminating circuit heart rate sensor.

Downloads & Sketch
Download the Arduino code from PulseSensor_Amped_Arduino and follow the instructions, there are four arduino code sketches. Upload to your Arduino as usual.

If you open up the arduino serial monitor window you will see something like this:
