PICkit 2 Debug Express allows in-circuit debugging on selected PICmicro microcontroller units (MCUs). In-circuit debugging allows the designer to run, examine, and modify the program while the PICmicro MCU is embedded in the hardware, thereby assisting the designer in debugging the firmware and hardware together. Debug Express interacts with MPLAB IDE software. Programs can be run, stopped, and single-stepped. One breakpoint can be set and the processor can be reset. The PICkit 2 Starter Kit is a low-cost development kit with an easy to use interface for programming many of Microchip’s baseline, midrange and PIC18F families of Flash memory microcontrollers. This starter kit is designed to help the user get up to speed quickly using PIC microcontrollers.
